My name is Jemina Venter. 
I manage a Customer Service team filled with amazing individuals by day, & am a digital artist almost every other moment I have free.
I spend the majority of my time living vicariously through a variety of fandoms by reading, watching TV/movies & painting.
Most of my art is fan-art from a variety of young adult, science fiction & fantasy genres. I am a huge fan of romance & UST in characters, and my art will usually reflect my current favourite fandom or ‘ship obsession is at the time.
My art time until recently has been spent mostly painting actors portrayed as characters from TV & movies which I then take to nerd (jem = self-confessed nerd) conventions to get autographed. Expensive hobby, but excessively fun! I’ve recently discovered how awesomely inspiring it is to paint characters from my favourite novels and now I’m hard pressed to divvy up my creative time between wanting to read about these amazing characters and wanting to paint them!
My amazingly amaaaazing husband recently gave me a Wacom Cintiq tablet, named Alice, for my 31st birthday which has only increased my passion to want to spend as much time creating art as I can!

I post my art to deviantART when a piece is complete, I blog it here when I have the time, or I post it to tumblr for a quickie update. You can check out my accounts through the links below.
For a little bit of random; I also compulsively sing aloud (& desperately off-key) whenever listening to music in the car, love to drink dessert wine, equally crave & adore feedback to the point where I *may* refresh constantly after posting a painting & am very happy to display more than a little bit of the ridiculous about my person & character, often at my own expense!
